Last night (March 3rd, 2022) the COVID task force comprised of the UAW, Stellantis, Ford and GM met, and based on the new CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines that were issued last week, effective tomorrow, Saturday, March 5, masks will be optional at all U.S. locations that are green or yellow on the CDC map (every manufacturing plant is green or yellow, so masks will be optional beginning with first shift tomorrow.)

- Safety glasses must be worn on the shop floor
- RTW App must still be filled out
- Social distancing barriers will remain in place and social distancing is still required
- Masks must still be provided to employees who wish to have them
- Employees can still choose to wear a mask if they want to, they just won't be required. If an employee chooses to wear a mask, it must be a company issued mask, no personal masks.
LAST - if your county goes back into orange in the future, masks will have to go back on, so keep the supply of masks you have, do not dispose of them. There will be a meeting each week to review the CDC data, and if there is a change to orange that will be communicated to the affected plants. Orange is new highest color (instead of red) in the new CDC data.
